The web page offers a quick approach to different diagnoses of diseased crops and allows to know the characteristics, management measures and damages that could cause these symptoms. It is free and open access.
Lhe introduction of digital information and communication technologies in most of the world's educational systems makes it possible to adopt new university teaching tools to complement student learning. Within this framework, the Chair of Phytopathology at FAUBA created the Virtual Herbarium of Phytopathology (HVF)with the aim of developing a complementary tool for the study of phytopathology. This website adds value to the didactic task of diagnosis and discussion of integrated management measures of the main diseases of crops of agronomic interest in Argentina. HVF prioritizes the incorporation of quality photographic material, including symptoms and signs, together with a description of the epidemiological cycle of each disease, main tools for integrated management and key aspects for the case study. The website allows access to specific information through a comprehensive search engine. The HVF also has a platform for "links of interest" to documents or publications of the research carried out in the Chair. The site has already been visited by numerous users from different countries and is expected to be a useful tool to disseminate the work of the Phytopathology Chair to students, growers, advisors and researchers, facilitating disease diagnosis and management.
